Dear Editor: NET-TV finally found a slot for the worthwhile program called “Catholic Novels.”

Somewhere in my collectives, I know there is a pocket-book edition of the novel Father Lauder reported on, “The Devil’s Advocate.” Excellent. Congratulations, Father Lauder. I wish he had been one of the professors when I attended weekend courses at St. John’s University.

Many years ago a priest by the name of Father Edward B. Brady, an assistant chancellor at The Tribunal of the Diocese of Brooklyn, recommended the novel to me. I was a very young person at the time working as a secretary in The Tribunal, who had just graduated from All Saints H.S. located on Throop and Flushing avenues not far from the Chancery Office, at that time located at 75 Greene Ave.

Not having been introduced to such type of “literature,” I tried to understand the meaning of the novel, but could not comprehend it. Father Lauder’s presentation brought the book back to me. Give us more of this type of programming on NET.
