Eileen M. Coen, 96, died on Feb. 28. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes, Queens Village, from 1924 to 1986. She was active in the Rosary and altar society and participated in a number of parish theater productions in the 1970s.
She had a bachelor’s degree from Queens College. After she moved to Suffolk County she and her late husband, William, were active parishioners of Infant Jesus Church, Port Jefferson, where she was a lector, member of the Charismatic Prayer Group and a visitor at Sunrest Nursing Home.
She is survived by her sons Joseph, the archivist of the Diocese of Brooklyn, John and Peter, and six grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 9 at Infant Jesus Church, Port Jefferson. Burial was at St. James Cemetery, Setauket.
