As The Tablet went to press, it was learned that Msgr. Joseph L. Stafford, pastor emeritus of Holy Family parish, Fresh Meadows, had died on Monday, June 4. The funeral Mass was scheduled at the church on Thursday, June 6. A full obituary will appear in next week’s edition of The Tablet.

He will be remembered. I knew him during his time at Cathedral Sem. His precision and his determination made him a very difficult man. However, he dedicated his life to the Church, and it was a good fit for him. I am sure he will be missed.
