Dean S. Dobbins, of Our Lady of Mercy parish, Forest Hills, is a native of Queens. He has been married to Sandra for 14 years and they have two sons.

A director for IT security and an author, he has been active in his parish as a lector, an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist and in baptism preparation.

A Mass of thanksgiving will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy on Sunday, May 24, at noon.
