The sixth-grade boys’ bantam CYO basketball team at St. Thomas Aquinas, Flatlands, was lucky enough to play on the floor at the world’s most famous arena.

The squad played a scrimmage amongst itself at Madison Square Garden during halftime of the Big East match-up between the St. John’s University’s Red Storm and the Georgetown Hoyas on Jan. 13. Nearly 200 people from the parish were in attendance.

“The boys will forever remember and cherish these great moments at the Garden,” said the team’s head coach Woodley Cherubin.
