CSW2013: Most Precious Blood School, Astoria

Every Child Is Special

Most Precious Blood School, Astoria, offers both an early-bird and after-school program to meet the needs of its families.
The school boasts accreditation by both NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and Middle States.
The administration and faculty believe that every child in Most Precious Blood School is special, and so it offers both enrichment classes and a learning center to both help and challenge all of the students in the school.
State test scores at Most Precious Blood are above state and local averages. The early childhood program consists of the following: Mommy and Me Together classes, two nursery programs and three choices of four-year old universal pre-kindergarten programs: morning, afternoon and full-day.
The kindergarten class has an outdoor playground attached to it and bathrooms built into the room.  Grades one through eight follow both New York state and diocesan curriculums. There are special classes in music, art, library, computer, gym and Spanish.
Social Opportunities
Most Precious Blood also offers many social opportunities such as: Scrabble club, art club, Boy Scouts, Christmas and spring plays, glee club, band, keyboard lessons, baton twirling and school newspaper.  Parents are informed about sports programs available in the area.
