Chinese Students In Diocesan Schools

Bishop Kearney H.S., Bensonhurst, held a ceremony honoring native Chinese students, who are excelling academically at Bishop Kearney H.S.; Bishop Ford H.S., Park Slope; and Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge.

These students left home to gain a Catholic school education in the Diocese of Brooklyn. Barnabas and Susan Chan actively recruit Chinese students, including from overseas, believing that Catholic schools will provide a good education for these young people. The students from abroad are not immigrants. They will stay in the United States for four years to complete their high school studies. Upon graduation they may apply to colleges in this country.
