Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted, and the Bereavement Services Program of Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens takes that mission seriously by serving bereaved individuals, regardless of faith or culture. Bereavement services are offered on a one-to-one basis as well as in support-group setting.

Bereavement support groups meet in diocesan parishes and some are Spanish-speaking groups. Unresolved grief can manifest as anger, violence and sickness. Parish bereavement groups have been places where healing begins.
