Terriers Have New Home Field

The St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights, men’s soccer team has a new home field:  Pier 5 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. The first Terriers’ home game was held there Sept. 10. “The field has to be one of the most unique settings in all of college sports,” said Terriers’ head coach Tom Giovatto.

Xaverian Hosts Hoban Run

Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge, hosted the 25th annual Hoban Run Sept. 15. Xaverian alumnus and police officer Christopher Hoban, ’80, sacrificed his life in the line of duty in 1988 at the age of 26. The run keeps Hoban’s memory alive and funds Xaverian’s Hoban Scholarship.
