Holy Cross Student Wins Science Award

Nicholas Simone, junior at Holy Cross H.S. in Flushing, won first place in the 21st annual Research Poster Session for High School Students sponsored by the Chemical Education Committee of the American Chemical Society’s New York Section.

St. Edmund Goes to DC

Recently the St. Edmund Prep Model Congress Team traveled to Washington D.C. to compete in Princeton Model Congress. The eight students assumed their roles as Representatives and Senators and fought for the bills they drafted weeks before the competition.

I believe kindness is a virtue that brightens everyone’s day. You may never know what someone is going through so if I’m able to make someone smile, that is my priority.

Youth Preaching Weekend

Last fall, students from St. Agnes Academic H.S., College Point; Albertus Magnus H.S. in Rockland County; and St. John the Baptist H.S., West Islip, came to St. John the Baptist for a weekend of prayer, study and the forming of community.
