Father Joseph M. Nolan, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn who had served as pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Cambria Heights, for 21 years, died on Aug. 31 at the Bishop Mugavero Residence in Douglaston. He was 97.

Sister Mary Ellen Noone, C.S.J., a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, for 72 years died on May 23 at Maria Regina Residence, the sisters’ nursing home. Formerly Sister St. Matthew, she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph from Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish, Astoria.

Sister Germaine Campbell, O.S.U., a member of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk for 75 years, died on May 17. She was 93.

Patrick Morgan, 61, of Belle Harbor, died July 5 at the age of 61 after a nine-year battle with leukemia.

Brother Alan Zodda, O.S.F. died August 2, 2019. Born Nicholas Zodda in the Bronx, he entered the Franciscan Brothers in February 1951 from Our Lady of Peace Parish, Lynbrook after having graduated from Valley Stream Central H.S.

Sister Ann Marie McNicholl, a native of Jackson Heights, died June 29 at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She was 80.

Sister Mary Lawrence O’Keeffe, C.I.J., a member of the Congregation of the Infant Jesus, Nursing Sisters of the Sick Poor, for 71 years, died June 2. She was 96.

Sister Mary Albert Thompson, C.S.J., a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, for 76 years, has passed away.

Sister Jean de Sales Tito, C.S.J., a nurse who was a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, for 68 years, has died.

Sister Eileen Patricia Haggerty, C.S.J., a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, for 73 years, died June 27 in Maria Regina Residence, the sisters’ nursing home.
