Loughlin Star Will Coach Oklahoma State
Mike Boynton, a graduate of Bishop Loughlin H.S., Fort Greene, was recently named the 20th head coach in program history for the Oklahoma State University (OSU), Stillwater, Okla., men’s basketball team.

Over 1,000 CYO participants and family members attended the New York Mets game on May 19. The Xaverian H.S. girls’ lacrosse won its first-ever city championship.
Orioles Star CF Rises Above Racist Taunts
Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones said a group of fans directed derogatory taunts at him and even threw a bag of peanuts toward him during a recent game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Hoops Old-Timers Still Talk Plenty of Game
The Old-Timers hosted its 58th annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner May 5 at Sirico’s Caterers in Dyker Heights. Five new members – of which four were products of the local CHSAA – were enshrined for their basketball accomplishments as they joined the list of over 200 deserving inductees.
