St. John’s Prep’s Student Council sponsored the school’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Dec. 2.  Students, faculty, and staff gathered in the library after school to celebrate this festive event. In addition to the tree lighting by Prep Principal William Higgins, activities included a Christmas prayer, a reading of Francis Pharcellus Church’s “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus,” and student a cappella versions of famous Christmas songs.
