High school seniors and faculty from Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, took part in their annual 12 mile walk called the “World Trade Center Walk.”
The school set a new record of participants with more than 70 seniors trekking to Lower Manhattan from
Queens.
It honors the late Marist Brother Leo Richard, who founded the school’s SMILE program, which stands for “Something More In Life’s Experience.”
The program allows students to gather with peers and faculty to discuss a variety of topics in a judgement free venue.
