The Mary Louis Academy (TMLA), Jamaica Estates, held its annual Reconciliation Day event on March 6. More than 20 priests, all invited by the students from their home parishes, offered the Sacrament of Reconciliation to students, faculty and staff.

Nearly all of the student body participated in the day which began with a prayer service. Classes were halted for two hours while students received the sacrament individually. During this time students remained in their homerooms where they did various reflection activities, reading and journaling in silence. TMLA has been offering Reconciliation Day for the past 19 years.
