Southeast Queens Deanery Celebrates New Confirmandi
Auxiliary Bishop Guy A. Sansaricq celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation with 49 confirmandi from the Southeast Queens Deanery that included St. Mary Magdalene and Christ the King parishes, both Springfield Gardens; St. Clare, Rosedale; St. Clement Pope, South Ozone Park; and St. Joseph, Jamaica.
The Mass took place at St. Mary Magdalene, for the first time since a fire destroyed the church seven years ago. The parish was SRO as those gathered witnessed members of the young church being blessed with the Holy Spirit. Following the Mass, family and friends joined in fellowship to congratulate the newly-confirmed students.
