Holy Week of Prayer, Penance and Humility

My dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,

As we approach Holy Week this year, it might be good to consider how we will participate in our prayer and liturgies, as well as other events taking place during this most holy time of our liturgical season. Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday with the blessing of palm.

They were the leaders of an anti-Nazi student organization, the White Rose, and had been caught distributing leaflets at their university in the Bavarian capital; the leaflets condemned the Third Reich, its genocide of the Jews and its futile war.

In the United States, the Park Performing Arts Center in Union City, N.J. is home to the longest running Passion Play in America.
