Carroll Gardens Parish Marks Its 150th Year

Auxiliary Bishop James Massa joined the community of Sacred Hearts-St. Stephen’s Church in Carroll Gardens to celebrate the parish’s patron saint, St. Stephen, and its 150th anniversary on Jan. 17.

Charismatic Youth Conference Feb. 27

The Charismatic Renewal of the Brooklyn Diocese is hosting “Come Holy Spirit,” a youth conference and retreat for Confirmandi and young adults at Resurrection Church, Gerritsen Beach, Feb. 27.

I feel compelled to stop and acknowledge a great priest, Father Rick Beuther, the pastor at St. Bartholomew parish in Elmhurst. His Masses are captivating and his homilies are both electrifying and inspirational.
