I feel compelled to stop and acknowledge a great priest, Father Rick Beuther, the pastor at St. Bartholomew parish in Elmhurst. His Masses are captivating and his homilies are both electrifying and inspirational.
As a nation, we strive for the virtue of tolerance, serving as a haven for all those who need it. Personally, I try to embody this ideal by being accepting and open to the people I encounter.
Dear Editor: Nice column (Jan.16) by Jim Mancari on Mike Piazza and the Hall of Fame. Mike had a wonderful relationship with our own late Bishop Ignatius Catanello, who officiated at his wedding and baptized his kids.
