Nobody likes to be looked down upon. So, we should treat even the hungry and poor as our equals rather then just give them money out of pity.

Everyone should treat people in need with respect. It is fine for people to ask for help sometimes. Everyone should do their best to help those in need. That is what caring for God’s creation is all about.

You don’t have to be rich in order to help. Just a small amount of money, generosity or a giving hand could make a difference. In other words, it’s not the amount that counts, but the generosity, pride and integrity that goes into helping.
