The Xavier H.S., Manhattan, varsity hockey team won its second-straight CHSHL ‘B’ division championship.
The Knights earned 6-2 and 4-2 wins over St. Francis Prep, Fresh Meadows, to sweep the best of three series.
Xavier is known as a rival to many of the Catholic high school teams in Brooklyn and Queens, but it turns out the majority of the Knights’ hockey players come from the diocese, 17 out of the 25 on the roster to be exact.
Below are the players and their respective parish:
Seniors –
Tyler D’Agostino (Captain) – St. Ephrem, Dyker Heights
Nicholas Guttilla – St. Frances Cabrini, Bensonhurst
David Kelly (Captain) – Our Lady of Angels, Bay Ridge
Daniel Moran (Captain) – Our Lady of Angels

Congratulations to the Xavier Knights on another championship season!
Thank you for acknowledging Xavier’s well deserved win!!!
Just a small correction in regards to Albert Kulikowski’s parish which is Our Lady of Hope in Middle Village not the one listed above.
