Dear Editor: After reading Widowhood and Christmas (Dec. 13), I felt I had to write to commend you and Mr. Dodds for such a wonderful article. This will be my fourth Christmas without Walt and I too feel that “the best has come and gone.”

There is much truth in Mr. Dodds’ words that people who are not widowed don’t know what it is like and I believe his suggestions will be very helpful to them.

Although I know I will always miss Walt, I too have a loving and supportive family, a job I love and thank God, my health.

Thank you, Mr. Dodds, and I pray that the peace and love of Christ and your family will see you through this Christmas and many Christmases to come.
