True Meaning of Christmas Cards

Janet Munoz card (555x640)

This year’s winners of the Saint Saviour H.S., Park Slope, Christmas card contest were sophomore Janet Munoz and junior Victoria Fiquet. Munoz’s drawing is a depiction of Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus inside a Saint Saviour High School snow globe. Fiquet’s artwork, which was drawn by hand and colored-in on a computer, features three young women standing around a lamppost on a Brooklyn street corner. The three girls, representing the three Magi, hold handbags containing gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The lamppost has two signs: “Bethlehem” and “B67.” The B67 is the bus line that travels to Saint Saviour. The “25” atop the lamppost signifies Christmas Day, Dec. 25. Munoz and Fiquet received certificates from the school for their award-winning drawings.
