The diocese celebrated the retirement of Rita Damato, second from left, with a Mass of thanksgiving and luncheon at The Chancery at 310 Prospect Park West. Rita, a member of St. Bernard parish, Mill Basin, has worked for the diocese for 28 years, mostly recently as associate director of the Annual Catholic Appeal.
