Events in Honor of Black History Month

On Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a revival at St. Joseph Church, Jamaica. The theme will be “An Instigator of Peace.”

On Feb. 14, at 4:30 p.m., the Black History Month Mass of Thanksgiving will take place at Immaculate Conception Center in Douglaston. One of the celebrants will be Bishop Fernand J. Cheri III, O.F.M., of New Orleans.

 

Christ is Risen Art Contest

The deadline for this year’s competition will be March 18 at 5 p.m. Students in grades one to 12 who reside or study in Brooklyn and Queens may send art work that reflects the theme: Christ is Risen. For details, click here.

 

Dominican Youth Day
