TMLA Art Showcased at The Met

Three seniors from The Mary Louis Academy in Jamaica were honored at the Metropolitan Museum of Art earlier this year for their Gold Key achievements in the 2017 Scholastic Art Awards. Seniors Molly Breslin, Samantha Merino and Gabby Vega were the three student-artists whose works were on display at the Manhattan museum.

Other seniors who won high marks for their art included Chloe Calonge, Amelia Dempsey, Taylor Duval, Amanda Lallemand and Kayla Rooney.

Camp Veritas Play-and-Pray

Teens from seventh grade to seniors in high school are invited to attend the following Camp Veritas events: July 16-22 to Camp Veritas at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y.; July 23 – 29 at Summit Lake Camp, Emmitsburg, Md.; August 13 – 19 at Camp Lakota, Wurstboro, N.Y. Cost: $450/camper. The spiritual program is led by priests from the Archdiocese of New York and supported by Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and the Sisters of Life.
