              A public Rosary dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima was conducted Oct. 12 in Woodside on Roosevelt Avenue and 58th Street in front of St. Sebastian Church.

Blessing of the Animals in Woodside

Father Frank Mann blessed more than 700 pets and their owners with a relic of St. Francis of Assisi, a piece of the saint’s tunic, at St. Sebastian’s parish, Woodside. The pastor, Msgr. Michael Hardiman, blessed a new statue of the patron of pets, donated by Tricia Healy in memory of John and Cecillia Healy.

Hundreds of parishioners from various societies at St. Sebastian’s, Woodside, participated in an outdoor procession to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi on June 2. Msgr. Michael J. Hardiman, pastor, carried the Blessed Sacrament, stopping for prayers at stations throughout the neighborhood.
