I have been in a wheelchair all of my life. I was born with a disability called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type 7A – a connective tissue disorder affecting my muscles and joints – and have had almost 30 major surgeries. I couldn’t have done it without God by my side. I face many obstacles, some are harder for me, but I have always found strength in my faith.
After joyously entering the Church at the Easter Vigil, the question on the minds of many newly initiated Catholics is: What comes next?

St. Mel’s Catholic Academy, Flushing, is proud to announce the opening of a state-of-the-art STEM Lab, coinciding with Catholic Schools Week 2017. The lab features a 3D printer and 50” televisions for mirroring/projecting lessons from iPads and Chromebooks directly to the TVs.
