The Italian Apostolate celebrated the 50th anniversary of St. Padre Pio’s death and the 100th anniversary of his stigmata with a procession from St. Francis of Paola Church, a worship site of Divine Mercy parish, to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
60 Years Ordained
Five priests of the Brooklyn Diocese are observing their 60th year of priesthood. They were ordained May 31, 1958 by Bishop Bryan J. McEntegart at St. James Pro-Cathedral in Downtown Brooklyn.

Deacon John P. Orlandello, 73, who was ministering at Divine Mercy parish, Williamsburg, died Nov. 27 at SS. Joachim and Anne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coney Island.
