Catholics across the New York metropolitan area were given the opportunity to light their first candle of the Advent season this past weekend, drawing from the flame of a source that dates back 1,000 years.
Called the Peace Light, the candle traveled thousands of miles from Bethlehem via Austria for an arrival ceremony at Our Lady of the Skies Chapel in Terminal 4.
