Knights of Columbus Pay Tribute to Former Chaplain

Fourth-degree Knights of Columbus stood guard during the public viewings in Brooklyn and Douglaston for the late Bishop Emeritus Thomas V. Daily, and members attended the funeral in force for their brother Knight. Bishop Daily joined the order in 1952, and served as supreme chaplain from 1987 to 2005.

Pro Vita Honorees Named

The annual Pro Vita Mass sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 5 p.m. at St. James Cathedral-Basilica, Downtown Brooklyn. The honorees will be Sister Tesa Fitzgerald, C.S.J., and the staff of Hour Children, and Sir Knights Jose Ortiz and Francis Boccabella.

K of C Helps Assure Future For Local Catholic Schools

The Brooklyn and Queens chapters of the Knights of Columbus held a special event at Citi Field to assist in raising funds for Futures in Education and Tomorrow’s Hope.

Both organizations offer financial support to families in the dioceses of Brooklyn and Rockville Centre, respectively, interested in sending their children to Catholic school.

Celebrating Independence
