With time running out and a Supreme Court decision looming, Catholics continue to express disapproval of President Donald Trump’s desire to exclude undocumented immigrants from the 2020 census.
This ethnic group has suffered more cases and deaths than any other group in New York City, accounting for 34 percent of deaths according to NYS Department of Health records as of Aug. 29.
A Pew Research Center study that was released last month has garnered a lot of coverage from both the secular and Catholic press. It found that people who describe themselves as atheist, agnostic or “nothing in particular” now represent 26 percent of the population. That number was just 17 percent 10 years ago.
