With the four-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy approaching, Blessed Trinity parish, Breezy Point, is grateful for its community spirit – and having already reached 85 percent of it total goal in the Generations of Faith drive.
Fresh off another campaign, Immaculate Conception Church in Astoria, jumped right into the Generations of Faith campaign with the rest of the Diocese of Brooklyn and have so far met 65 percent of their Generations goal of $730,000!
“I’ve learned that I don’t have to be afraid to ask people for help,” Msgr. Noone shared of his experience in the campaign, “People are very willing to give a hand – never underestimate their generosity!”
In less than three months, Father Gill and Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Windsor Terrace, skyrocketed past their initial goal of $380,000 to raise $605,745.

At Bishop Mugavero Residence for Retired Priests in Douglaston, there are currently 37 priests and bishops who have served their ministry for the Diocese of Brooklyn for a total of 1,907 years, ranging from 38 years ordained to 70 – an average of 53 years.
The third and final block of the Generations of Faith capital campaign in the Diocese of Brooklyn kicked off with a reception on Tuesday, May 17, at the Immaculate Conception Center in Douglaston.
“Make sure whatever your parish goals are that you have your parish council and finance committee behind you. Take risks and follow them.”
