Bishop Robert Brennan has appointed Dr. Ralph Nofi, a licensed psychologist, to serve as the new chair of the board that advises him on cases where sexual abuse allegations have been made, the Diocese of Brooklyn announced on Jan. 10.

Bishop Robert Brennan ushered in the Jubilee Year by celebrating two Masses on Sunday, Dec. 29 — first at the Cathedral Basilica of St. James and then at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph — and leading the faithful in a procession between the two churches as he held the monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament aloft during the mile and a half journey.

National Eucharistic Congress Closes After Five Days Filled With ‘Faith and Love’

Among the many sacred and solemn songs heard at the recent Diocesan Eucharistic Revival at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens were some more familiar and popular selections such as “This Little Light of Mine” and “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” performed by a choir under the direction of Joseph Murray, co-director of music ministry at St. Martin de Porres Parish in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
