Great Irish Fair 2019

Irish culture reigned as the 38th annual Great Irish Fair took over the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island. Following the Mass and awards ceremony, a full day of Irish music filled the venue as thousands in attendance danced and sang along.

The Alliance for Coney Island is once again presenting Flicks on the Beach, a free, outdoor film series in historic Coney Island where friends and families can watch their favorite movies right on the beach this summer.

Still rebuilding from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, Coney Island residents welcomed a sign of hope for the future in early December when Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens held a groundbreaking ceremony for an early childhood center set to open in 2017.

Tie on your sneakers, don something green and arrive early to the Great Irish Fair grounds on Saturday, Sept. 26 to take part in the annual 5K Run/Walk. All adults, children and families are welcome.

Irish Prepare for Fair in Coney ‘Ireland’

The Great Irish Fair is just one month away and organizers officially launched this year’s festivities with a reception at St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights, Aug. 13. Attendees had a chance to meet the honorees and whet their appetites for the fair, set for Sept. 26-27 at MCU Park in Coney Island.
