In Brooklyn, Pakistanis Pray for Terror Victims

Following the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks that killed 74 people and injured nearly 400 more in Pakistan, local Pakistanis prayed for healing in their country, for the victims, their families and the terrorists themselves during a bilingual Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Windsor Terrace.

Bridging the Boroughs

About 1,500 people participated in the annual Way of the Cross sponsored by Communion and Liberation on Good Friday. Services began at St. James Cathedral-Basilica, Downtown Brooklyn, where Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio participated.

Stations in Borough Park

Young adults from the Jornada Movement at St. Catharine of Alexandria Church led a realistic Way of the Cross through the streets of Borough Park on Good Friday. After the two-hour procession, Auxiliary Bishop Octavio Cisneros joined the parish family to preside over the afternoon liturgy.

Brooklyn Irish March In Park Slope

The Brooklyn Irish-American Parade began its St. Patrick’s Parade festivities with Mass celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop James Massa at Holy Name Church, Park Slope.
