Celebrating 70 Years of Marriage

 

Congratulations to Nicholas and Nancy Pennetti, members of St. Leo parish, Corona, who celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 5. Nick is president of both the parish Holy Name Society and Golden Age Society. He also served for 20 years as president of the parish ushers. Nick and Nancy have three children and three grandchildren. May God bless them both. They renewed their vows at the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Aug. 3.[hr]

Teenagers Pray and Serve

 

Christine Lane, Juliana Gmelch and Peter Wright, juniors from Bishop Ford H.S., Park Slope, joined Brother Thomas Barton, OSF, director of campus ministry and spent four days in prayer and service at the Romero Center in Camden, N.J. They spent their days reflecting on the catechesis and in service to various soup kitchens and child care programs.
