Although their final year at St. Francis de Sales Elementary School, Belle Harbor, was marked by the destruction and havoc from Superstorm Sandy, Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) athletes did not forget the values the school and parish had taught them.

The class of 2013 graduated the parochial school after being displaced for months, during which the CYO sports program came to a halt. However, the storm could not stop the strong bond the CYO youth developed.

This year, the now-freshwomen in high school returned to their CYO program to help with the Peggy Boyle Basketball Tournament, which was back in full swing.
