When classes break for summer vacation, the learning and fun won’t stop at Xaverian!
Sports Camp
The Bay Ridge school invites boys and girls, grades one through eight, to develop their individual skills, team play and general health and fitness by attending basketball or baseball camp. Campers will enjoy drill stations, games, contests and weekly awards. In addition, each child will receive a camp T-shirt.
The Xaverian Basketball Camp introduces young campers to the fundamentals of basketball so that they may gain a greater appreciation and enjoyment of the game as both player and spectator. More advanced players are presented with the drills and conditioning necessary to succeed on the high school level. Long one of the best instructional camps in the city, Xaverian offers six sessions to players of all levels.
The Xaverian Baseball Camp provides campers of all skill levels with a week of focused instruction on the finer points of baseball. From Tee-Ballers to athletes preparing for high school competition, the Xaverian staff works with the campers to encourage improvement in hitting, fielding, throwing and baserunning, as well as position-specific instruction in pitching, catching, infield and outfield play.

Summer Enrichment Program
Xaverian also offers a summer enrichment program, the Xaverian Community of Emerging Leaders (XCEL), which integrates educational, spiritual and leadership development for young men entering the eighth grade.
The daily program includes academic work in the mornings, followed by a variety of recreational activities in the afternoons.
Xaverian’s full gymnasium and convenient location across from Shore
Road Park offer many opportunities for extracurricular activities. XCEL integrates its classroom curriculum with hands-on learning experiences. XCEL students spend one day each week at an off-campus location, using New York City as their classroom. Students also participate in a one-day leadership retreat.
