Father Michael Ford, O.P., director of the Ministries at the Dominican Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus, Chicago, Ill., brought a relic of St. Jude to the diocese for four days last week. Services included Mass, devotions, and a blessing with the Oil of St. Jude Thaddeus. Participants had a rare opportunity to venerate the arm relic of St. Jude, seen at left, believed to be the largest relic of one of the 12 Apostles outside of Rome. St. Jude Oil was available after the blessings. The relics visited Good Shepherd, Marine Park; Our Lady of Lourdes, Queens Village; St. Luke, Whitestone, and St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral, Prospect Heights, seen in the photos. (Photos: Steven Aiello)
