St. John’s University, Jamaica, baseball product Joe Panik made his Major League debut for the San Francisco Giants in late June and has been a regular at second base ever since.

In his first 22 games, the Yonkers, N.Y., native is hitting .212 with 14 hits and four RBI.

In his three seasons for the Red Storm, he batted .371 with 24 home runs, 156 RBI and 33 stolen bases in 166 games from 2009 through 2011.
