Focused on Faith, Families, Future Success
Last March, St. Adalbert School launched a “free afterschool program” for students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The school has partnered with the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council and the N.Y.C. Department of Youth and Community Development to offer middle schoolers a chance to participate in the Mayor’s Schools Out New York City program.
St. Adalbert School’s program includes: robotics, forensics, builders club, glee, debate, game design, and many more activities. Last year, two teams from St. Adalbert School won first and second place in the Queens division of private schools for the Stock Market Game and received awards from the SIFMA Foundation.
Located in Elmhurst, Queens, St. Adalbert School is staffed by the Conventual Franciscan Friars, the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and a dedicated lay staff.
St. Adalbert Catholic School is a multi-cultural school whose mission is to follow in the footsteps of Jesus as teacher and spiritual guide. Faith formation and Catholic identity are paramount in developing the whole person through prayer, scripture, liturgical celebrations and Christian service. St. Adalbert School integrates technology with Common Core Standards to prepare students for college and career readiness in the 21st century.
St. Adalbert School is a viable school, specializing in small-class sizes and a friendly, safe, family environment. Students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight participate in special subject classes, including: music, gym, computer and art. Spanish is offered in grades six through eight. Students participate in afterschool activities and school/diocesan sponsored contests.
