Sports Round-Up Feb. 15

St. Joseph’s College Brooklyn, Clinton Hill, recently recognized 76 student-athletes who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average during either the spring or fall semester of 2019. Of this group, 13 recorded perfect a 4.0 GPA.


Msgr. McClancy H.S., East Elmhurst, freshman Nathan Atherley won the freshmen Catholic state championship in the shot put with a throw of 43 feet, 2 inches. He completed the trifecta, winning the freshmen diocesan championship, city championship and state championship.


St. Francis Prep, Fresh Meadows, will host its third Red and Blue Terrier Ring of Honor gala event on Saturday, March 21 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, L.I. The event will feature the induction of honorees into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
