This month, St. John’s University (SJU) will debut its Research Month lecture series highlighting significant research discoveries being made at the university. The focus – application of novel drug delivery systems to provide patient with better therapy – is one of the hottest topics in pharmaceutical science today.

Abu Serajuddin, Ph.D., a professor of industrial pharmacy in SJU’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, will lead the discussion on Technology Advances in Pharmacy Research on April 13 at 6 p.m. on the school’s Queens campus. He’ll discuss the work he and his students do in the Industrial Pharmacy Innovation Laboratory that he instituted at St. John’s to develop novel drug delivery systems.

“The concept for this research lecture series is to address the works and unique discoveries of our faculty and share those findings with colleagues, the St. John’s University community and the general public,” said Simon Moller, Ph.D., SJU’s senior vice provost.
