Sister Rosemary Monica Remeschatis, C.S.J., a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, for 70 years, died Jan. 28 at Maria Regina Residence in Brentwood,

She earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Hofstra University; a bachelors in sociology from St. Joseph College and a master’s in sociology from CW Post.

Her ministries included St. Martin of Tours, Bedford-Stuyvesant, 1952-59; Holy Child Jesus, Richmond Hill, 1959-62; St. Rose of Lima, Parkville, 1962-66; St. Joseph Hospital, Far Rockaway, 1966-67; St. Francis School for the Deaf, Crown Heights; Brentwood College, 1967-68; St. Malachy, East New York, 1968-69; 1991.

Her funeral Mass was held at Maria Regina Chapel on Jan. 31. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery in Brentwood.
