Sister Marie Pierre Meyer, C.S.J., a Sister of St. Joseph, Brentwood, L.I., for 77 years, died Feb. 27. She was 94.

She entered the congregation in 1938 from Holy Child Jesus, Richmond Hill. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Marywood College, Scranton, Pa., 1963, and a master’s degree from Queens College in 1974.

She taught at St. Augustine, Park Slope, 1940-41; Holy Name of Mary, Valley Stream, L.I., 1941-53; Holy Name, Windsor Terrace, 1953-60; St. Francis de Sales, Belle Harbor, 1960-67; and the Academy of St. Joseph, Brentwood, 1967-2000, followed by volunteer work in the Learning Connection, Brentwood, 2000-07.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place March 2 in Sacred Heart Chapel, Brentwood. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, Brentwood.
