Sister Jane Meehan, I.H.M., (formerly Sister Annmarie) of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died Feb. 4 at Our Lady of Peace Residence, Scranton, Pa. She was 89.

Born in New Albany, Pa., she entered the IHM congregation in 1948 and made her final profession of vows on Aug. 2, 1954.

In the Diocese of Brooklyn, she taught at St. Ephrem School, Dyker Heights, 1963-68; and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School, Forest Hills, 1968-74.

She also was a guidance counselor at Maria Regina Diocesan H.S., Uniondale, L.I., 1974-80; and St. Mary’s H.S., Manhasset, L.I., 1987-96.

She is survived by two sisters, Alice Rice of Massapequa, L.I.; and Annabelle Kravetz of Mildred, Pa.

Burial was at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow, Pa.
