Sister Ann Whalen, S.C., a member of the Sisters of Charity-Halifax for 57 years, died on Nov. 28
at Caritas Residence in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was 84.

She grew up in Woodside by St. Sebastian Parish, and served as a nurse in New York, Nova Scotia and Quebec. Her funeral Mass was offered on Dec. 4 at the Immaculate Conception Chapel in the Caritas Residence. Burial followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
