Seminar Explores Historical, Theological, Pastoral Aspects of Eucharistic Adoration

Join noted author James Monti for “I Am With You Always,” a eucharistic adoration seminar at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Yonkers, on Friday, Feb. 16, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Monti will discuss the ways in which eucharistic adoration arises from the Mass and ultimately leads the worshiper back to the eucharistic celebration. This seminar will explore the development of the rites of eucharistic exposition, benediction and processions of the Blessed Sacrament.

The rites of eucharistic worship associated with Holy Thursday, the feast of Corpus Christi and the customs of a Holy Hour, the 40 Hours Devotion and perpetual adoration will be presented. Pastoral and theological dimensions of these observances will be addressed. Answers will be given to practical questions that arise at the parish level.

The cost is $10. To register, go to nyliturgy.org/workshops. For more information, call 914-968-6200.
