The late Bishop Ignatius A. Catanello will be remembered at two separate occasions on two successive weekends.

On Sunday, June 7, following the noon Mass at Holy Family Church, Fresh Meadows, Bishop Ignatius A. Catanello Way will be dedicated at the corner of 74th St. and Utopia Pkwy.

The proposal to name the street after the late auxiliary bishop, and pastor of Holy Family, was introduced by the Holy Family Council of the Knights of Columbus.

On the following Saturday, June 13, the Council will sponsor its second annual Bishop Ignatius Catanello Memorial Dinner-Dance at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston, beginning with 6 p.m. Mass in the chapel.

Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Bishop Catanello Scholarship at Cathedral Prep and Seminary, Elmhurst. For details, call Peter Petrino, Grand Knight, at 347-267-7614.
