Queens Native to be Ordained in Manhattan

Father Jean Pierre A. Seon will be ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of New York by Cardinal Timothy Dolan at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Saturday, May 28 at 9:30 a.m.

Father Seon will celebrate a Mass thanksgiving at Immaculate Conception Church, Astoria, on Sunday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m.

Born in Elmhurst, he attended Immaculate Conception School; Holy Cross H.S., Bayside; and Manhattan College.

After his college graduation, he was hired to be the director of Campus Ministry for Holy Cross H.S. While working there, he continued to be involved at Immaculate Conception parish taking up various positions within the Columbian Squires Program and eventually the Knights of Columbus.

He also served as a lector, extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, CCD teacher, and emcee for all services at the parish.

He was grand knight of his Knights of Columbus Council, 2005-06.
